Each camp offers an incredible amount of teaching and camp experience, with a full-time coaching staff of coaches, athletes and staff available. Each camp is led by USA Football USA certified coach and head coach Derrick Thomas and is offered at Murfreesboro High School Football Camps on the University of Tennessee campus. During the week, campers have access to a variety of activities such as football, basketball, volleyball, football, baseball, golf, tennis, athletics, swimming, gymnastics and more.
The CVB works closely with hotels and venues to ensure that the needs of each team are met during their stay. Some qualified teams travel too far and it is important to have an inviting community, so the CVBs work closely with the Murfreesboro High School Football Camps, the qualifying team will travel to the University of Tennessee campus.
The Nike Tennis Camp in Murfreesboro is being held at Middle Tennessee State with longtime coach Tayo Bailey Duvall. The camp offers an option for a full and half-day camp and the camp will be held on the campus of the University of Tennessee. It has been a real pleasure to work with the Rutherford County CVB for the Tennessee Cup and it has been a pleasure to work with people who have a heart for youth sports and are putting their resources into making the experience enjoyable for the participants who come to this great city.
In addition to the football facilities, Murfreesboro also has a number of hiking trails, including the River Trail and Green Ridge Trail. There are great opportunities for teams to enjoy the outdoors and a youth softball field is available, as well as several multipurpose fields used for the sports listed above.
A full and half-day camp offers young people of all ages and abilities excellent opportunities to improve their technical skills, develop strong course management and learn golf in an entertaining, supportive and positive environment. Overnight camps for advanced players are held at the nationally recognized facility and offer an opportunity to seriously improve the game. Outside-hotel amenities include restrooms and changing rooms, as well as access to the Murfreesboro Golf Club's golf course. A variety of golf courses are available, such as the Green Ridge Golf Course.
Barfield and Crescent Parks also offer a variety of outdoor activities for children, including the annual Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Board summer camp. Enjoy the rolling hills of the Green Ridge Golf Course and the Steel Barrel Brewery, which is made in the tasting room and ultimate meeting place. There are many restaurants and bars as well as a number of bars and restaurants, and at weekends you will find a wide selection of craft beers, wines, spirits and food.
Other sold-out sporting events include Murfreesboro High School football, men's and women's basketball, football, baseball and softball. The arena has hosted the ISA Softball tournament since 2006 and has also hosted a variety of other events, including the Tennessee State Fair and the Knox County Fair. Previous county events have included the Nashville Predators, Nashville Blue Jackets, Tennessee Rangers and Tennessee Titans.
Bon Jovi played to a sold-out crowd at Murfreesboro High School's football game against the Tennessee Titans in front of their home fans on Saturday, April 8, 2014. On the track, MTSU will compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships in Nashville, Tennessee for the first time this year. The coaches met the week before the national teams at the Murphy Center for what would later become known as NCAA Last Chance Meets. Several other coaches have teamed up to look for athletes who qualify for the NCAA indoor championships.
During a 2014 renovation, the ceiling tiles in the shape of foam waffles in the sports hall at Murfreesboro High School were permanently removed. The original plans included removing the panels and building an indoor athletics field. The grandstand normally remains in its original state, but will only open after the match when the expected number of spectators is higher than the bucket seats allow. The upper hall in the arena will also serve as an athletics hall when the grandstand retracts. It will have an eight-court complex, if necessary, to host events such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, athletics, football and baseball.
The complex has 24 tennis courts, 16 of which are illuminated for night play, and there is an adult tennis camp in Nashville. Sports Com is home to a number of high school and college tennis camps in the Nashville area, including the Tennessee Tennis Academy, Tennessee Tennis Camp and Knoxville Tennis Club.
Olympic Stadium, which is currently certified by USTFA and includes an indoor athletics facility, tennis courts, tennis courts and basketball courts.
